Today (October 14, 2014) on the Joe for America blog there is a re-post originating from an article by Adina Kutnicki entitled "Muslim Brotherhood Plans Revealed: Control Of Western World On Schedule". The photo accompanying this post on JFA is more than worrisome. Here is what I wrote to JFA in response:
On your current Home page, the picture associated with the article: Muslim Brotherhood Plans Revealed: Control Of Western World On Schedule, is grievously in serious error. The man in the picture is a Sikh. He is definitely not a Muslim. His headgear is distinct from that of a muslim man. If you knew the history of what the Punjabi Sikhs had to endure during their religion's formation, and their current attitude toward the islamist today, you to would feel deeply ashamed for linking that picture with that article by Adina Kutnicki. Would you immediately remedy this by changing the picture? Please! Thank you.
Since 911 there have been countless injustices (some violent, some murderous) that have been inflicted upon members of the Sikh community in the USA. This because some westerners believe those men who wear a turban are all affiliated with the Muslim faith. The Sikh turban (dastar) has nothing to do with the Muslim faith. To incorrectly associate this form of Sikh worship with Islam is more than offensive to the Sikh believer. And this is what I know as a worshiping Christian who knows some Sikh citizens as friends and loves them dearly.
I am hopeful that Joe will change the picture. As well, I am hopeful that more of us westerners will be more accurately discerning in the future.
